Michael J. Hochfelder

            Michael J. Hochfelder, of Edison died Thursday, July 16th at home.  He was 74.

            Born in Perth Amboy, he has lived in Edison since 1982.

            He worked as a roofer for Perth Contractors in Metuchen then later at Whittingham Estates in Monroe.

            An avid fan of horse racing and spending time with his family, Mike also enjoyed singing and playing practical jokes on friends and family.  He was also known for his strong work ethic, often putting in over 70 hours a week.    

            Surviving are his ex-wife, Kandy Rowe; daughters, Debbie Sanders of Galloway, Robin Hochfelder of Metuchen, and Sherry Hochfelder of Edison and her boyfriend, Robert Gurdak of Sayreville; sisters, Carol and Betty; and 8 grandchildren.

            Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 19th from 3-7 PM at the GOSSELIN FUNERAL HOME, 660 New Dover Road with a Blessing at 6:30 PM.

            Cremation will be held privately.
