Dear Stephen, Kevin and David,
You and your families are in my thoughts and prayers. I know – all too well – the sadness you are feeling right now at the loss of your mom. Try to focus not on your loss but rather on her new adventure. You know she’s in a better place, and certainly not without loved ones and friends. Considering those who have made the journey before her, she’ll be telling stories – oh, so many stories – to her heart’s content and a welcoming and eager audience. Perhaps, she, Uncle Steve, mom and dad will pick up where they left off - at a cozy dining table enjoying our families’ all time favorite meal: roast beef w/ mashed potatoes and string beans, while she and my dad discuss the critical issues of the day leaving my mom and Uncle Steve to debate the most space efficient method of filling a kitchen trash can, or the benefits of tearing vs. cutting where lettuce is concerned. (Oh, those Sunday dinners!)
Your mom will be missed, remembered and loved by each of us - in our own way, and for our own reasons. ‘)

Aunt Tootsie, you will be missed. I will remember our long phone conversations and your laughter. Never has anyone had such a beautiful person in their life, and to be able to call you my favorite relative made it so much better.
