Michael Thomas Herits

Michael T. Herits, passed away on Sunday, February 19,2017 at VA New Jersey Health Care Systems, East Orange. He was born in Bayonne NJ resided in Colonia for 35 years before moving to Spring Lake Heights, NJ.  Michael was an avid fisherman, lifelong Rangers Hockey fan and had a passion for US History.  

Michael proudly served our country in the Navy during the Vietnam War.   He was employed as a communications Technician for AT & T in Jersey City, Freehold and Clark, NJ.

Michael was predeceased by his wife Christine Herits (2006). Surviving are his children Michael-John Herits and his wife Jessica, Joseph Herits and his wife Erika and Bethann Herits, his sister Mary Ann Strugala her husband Edward, also 4 grandchildren Nathaniel, Christine, Cecelia and Catalina.

    Visitation Wednesday, February 22, 2017, from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at the Gosselin Funeral Home 660 New Dover Road Edison.  Funeral Services Thursday February 23, 2017 8:30 AM  at the funeral home followed by a 9:30AM Funeral Mass at St John Vianney Church, Colonia. Interment St Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
