Marie C. (Marzano) Lampasona

            Marie C. Lampasona, of Iselin died Friday, May 8th at the Regency Jewish Heritage Nursing Home in Somerset.  She was 86.

            Born in Elizabeth, she lived in Iselin for over 55 years.

            Marie worked as a Cashier for ShopRite Supermarkets, first in Iselin then in Edison for over 20 years before retiring in the early 1990s.

            She was a parishioner of St. Cecelia’s RC Church in Iselin.

            Her husband, Victor S. Lampasona died in 2005.  She is also predeceased by her brothers, Michael and Vincent Marzano.

            Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Victor & Jenee of Lutz, Florida, Marc & Jeanne of Middlesex, and Gary & Sheryl of South Plainfield; daughter and sons-in-law, Donna Marie Lyons and her husband Chris of Tarpon Springs, Florida; sister, Jean Abate of North Branch; and 8 grandchildren, Alexa, Gina, Nicholas, Marc, Nicole, Christopher, Dominic and Michael.

            Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 12th at 9 AM at the GOSSELIN FUNERAL HOME, 660 New Dover Road, Edison, followed by 10 AM Mass at St. Cecelia’s RC Church, Iselin.  Entombment to follow in St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia.

            Visitation will be held on Monday, May 11th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
