Elsie Mae (Haight) Kressler

Elsie Kressler, died Monday, July 18th, 2017 at Brandywine Living at Governor's Crossing in Englishtown. She was born in Watervliet, NY on November 29, 1931, resided in Union, moving to Colonia in 1951.

            Elsie was a bookkeeper for 3 companies at the same time, 4 Seasons Play and Recreation Center in Union and the Shiki Japanese Steak Houses in Union and Middletown. She was an avid bowler, loved to sing, go to Atlantic City, and was a Yankees fan and artist. She played guitar and started tap dancing lessons in her 50’s. Most of all she loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Elsie always put the needs of others first and her priority was always taking care of family.

            She was predeceased by the love of her life Howard in 2010, her parents Carl and Ethel Haight, her sisters Helen Garthwaite and Carolyn “Sugar” Nicoll. Surviving are her daughters Karyn Follis and her husband Kevin and Kristyn Kressler and her partner Carolyn, her sister Margie Keller, her 3 grandchildren Dustyn and Ashleigh Pennewaert, and Kaleigh Follis, several nieces and nephews.

             Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 30th from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM with a Service at      5 PM at Gosselin Funeral Home 660 New Dover Road Edison.  Cremation was private.
