Fred J Yellen, passed away Tuesday August 25 at his home in Edison.
Mr. Yellen was born in Carteret and he resided in Staten Island before moving to Edison in 1962. He proudly served our country in the Navy and Army during World War 2. Fred was an Iron worker for the Irons Worker Union in Perth Amboy for 20 years retiring in 1998. After retirement he has been working for International Swimming Pool in New Brunswick. He took pride in his yard especially his roses and most importantly enjoyed spending time with his family.
Fred was predeceased by his wife Margaret Yellen (1997), his siblings Marguerite Tatar, Dorothy Low and Robert Yellen. Surviving are his children Barbara Ebbets and her husband Richard of Highlands, Patricia Santora and her husband Richard of Robbinsville and Joseph Yellen of Edison also his 4 grandchildren Melissa, Kyle, Garrett and Andrew.
