Zelda K. Bash, 91 of Colonia, New Jersey, passed away on September 4, 2025 at her home.
Zelda was born in Newark, New Jersey to Solomon and Katherine Katz on August 25, 1934.
She went to high school at Long Branch High School and graduated in 1952. She worked as a salesperson and cashier at various retail stores that include Sizes Unlimited, Bottoms Upand retired from Fortunoff Department Store in 1999. Her favorite activity was playing Mahjong whenever her friends could organize a game. In her later years, she enjoyed playing bingo and other various activities at Evergreen Senior Center in Colonia. Her favorite hobby was needlepoint. She was a lifetime member of Hadassah.
Zelda is predeceased by her husband Allen Bash. She is survived by her children, David Bash and his wife, Shari of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Steven Bash, Elisa Bash and Elaine Bash of Colonia New Jersey. Grandchildren: Scott, Michael and his fiancé Katie, Samuel, Mallory and Matthew. She is also survived by her sister Estelle Warshawer and niece Faith.
Funeral Services will be graveside at Mount Lebanon Cemetery in Iselin on September 7, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. Immediately following the service, Shiva will be held at the Bash Family home in Colonia and on Monday, Sept. 8 and Tuesday, Sept. 9 from 2:00-8:00p.m.
