William J. Rodriguez (Bill) passed away at home on January 14, 2024 with his loving wife by his side. Bill was a lifelong resident of New Jersey who loved to fish and garden. Bill is survived by his wife of 27 years, Suzanna, his sister in laws Helene Maliko-Abraham (Andy), Eugenia Hathaway (Bob), his sister and brothers, niece and nephewsand wonderful and dedicated home health aide Margarita. A Memorial Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 20th at St. Helena’s RC church in Edison, followed by intermentat St. Gertrude’s cemetery.
A celebration of life luncheon will be held at Sherban’s Diner in South Plainfield immediately following his interment at the cemetery. Bill was a lifelong sports fan and anyone who knew him knew of his passion for his favorite teams, the NY Giants, NY Yankees and the NY Rangers. The family is requesting thatanyone who attends the service or lunch, to please wear one of his favorite team jerseys, or a shirt in his favorite color Blue. One of Bill’s last requests was for everyone to enjoy lunch after his Mass and to celebrate his life. Please join the family in helping us to grant that request.
