William J. Reynolds Jr., of Seaside Park NJ, passed away peacefully at 82 years of age on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 surrounded by his loving and adoring family. Bill, as he was known, spent the majority of his life residing in Edison NJ, where he raised three children with his wife Peggy (and several dogs) through their adulthood. Bill eventually moved to Seaside Park NJ, full-time following the passing of Peggy in 2009. Along the way, Bill was always making new friends and continuing to welcome new family into his life (his children’s spouses/partners and nine grandchildren). In the last decade plus, Bill met and has been with MaryAnn Konfederak who became a loving companion and dear friend. Their love was beautiful and youthful. MaryAnn and Bill spent their time together both in Seaside Park NJ, and Hobe Sound FL.
Born and raised in Elizabeth NJ, Bill honorably served in the United States Army and after his service started his own advertising agency in Newark NJ, eventually retiring at the young age of 58. His days were filled with golf, fishing trips, family events and holiday gatherings, babysitting grandchildren, tending to his vegetable garden, planting flowers, taking scenic pictures, keeping the bird feeders full of food, and enjoying a good ice cream cone from the boardwalk. He loved being a “pop-pop” as he was often referred, and brought tremendous joy and smiles to all who knew him.
Bill was predeceased by his brother, Donny Reynolds in 2017, wife Peggy Reynolds in 2009, and son-in-law Michael Fuccile in 2008. Surviving are Bill’s three children, Kevin Reynolds, and his wife Anne; Nancy Fuccile and her partner Michael O’Reilly; and Keith Reynolds. Bill’s, or Pop-Pop’s, nine grandchildren: Michael (22), Jack (21), Emma (18), Mathew (18), Brooke (18), Graham (17), Madison (15), Lauren (14), and Caroline (10).
