William "Bill" Kidda

William (Bill) B. Kidda, 100 years old, of Edison, New Jersey passed away on October 14, 2024 after a long and fulfilling life.

Bill was born on April 26, 1924 in Coaldale, PA. to Johan and Eva Kidda. After graduating from Tamaqua High School, he served his country in World War 2 in the Army Air Corps in the Pacific theater as a radio operator on B29 aircraft. After his honorable discharge from the military, he was a pioneer in the television industry working for many TV stations in PA, NJ and NYC as a television engineer until his retirement in 1997.

Bill married the love of his life, Ceil in 1960 and were married for 55 years until her death in 2015. They raised 3 children: Lisa, Bill and Leslie. Bill and Ceil loved being grandparents to Nicholas and Justin. After his retirement in 1997, Bill and Ceil retired to Sun City, Florida. He loved the warm weather and spent his time cycling, enjoying the outdoors and taking up new hobbies.

Bill was a devoted Catholic and loved attending St. George Byzantine Catholic church in Linden, NJ. He was always active up to his 100 th birthday and lived a happy and healthy life. He enjoyed sitting in front of the fireplace with his family, attending church and was always eager to learn.

Bill was predeceased by his parents Johan and Eva, wife Ceil, his brother John and sisters Ann and Mary.

He is survived by his children Lisa Kidda, Bill Kidda and Leslie Kolodziej and his grandchildren Nicholas and Justin Kolodziej.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 17 6pm – 9pm and Friday, October 18 8:30am - 9:30am at Gosselin Funeral Home 660 New Dover Rd., Edison, New Jersey 08820. Mass will be held on Friday, October 18 at 10am at St. George Byzantine Catholic Church, 417 McCandless St., Linden, New Jersey 07036.
