William J. Aker Jr.

William J. Aker Jr., 74, of Iselin, New Jersey, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022 in his home, surrounded by his loving family.  William was born on March 26, 1947 and grew up in Elizabeth, New Jersey.  William graduated from Edison Vocational and Technical School in Elizabeth.  William, ever the car enthusiast, built his first car, a 1952 Chevy, from parts he brought home from the junkyard in bushel baskets and eventually opened B&W Auto Repairs in Port Reading, New Jersey.  

William met the love of his life, Barbara Giesen, when he was 14 years old and married her on April 8, 1967.  William and Barbara were married for over fifty years and raised two loving daughters.  William enjoyed spending his retirement working on project vehicles for family and friends, spending time with Barbara in Atlantic City, and working in the garden.

William is survived by his loving wife; Barbara; daughter Kelly; daughter Lisa and son-in-law John; grandchildren Kyle, Austin, and Ashley; sister-in-law Linda; and niece Kim.
