In Loving Memory of Virginia “Ginnie” Nitti
April 1, 1944 – October 31, 2025
Virginia “Ginnie” Nitti, age 81, of Monroe Township, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 31, 2025.
Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on April 1, 1944, Ginnie was the cherished daughter of Rose and Joseph Nitti. She grew up in Jersey City, New Jersey, where she graduated from Schneider High School in 1962. Known for her warm heart, unconditional love for her family and friends and strong work ethic Ginnie went on to build a successful career as a customs broker with Kuehne + Nagel, where she later retired after many years of dedicated service.
Above all, Ginnie was a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her loving daughter, Beth Evans of Colonia, NJ; her son-in-law, Al Evans; and her adored granddaughters, Theresa and Tiffany Evans. She also leaves behind her nephews Robert Nitti, and wife Connie, and Frank Nitti and wife Vanessa, nieces Renee Nitti and Gail Nitti Zollo , and husband Dan and many great-nieces and nephews who will forever cherish her kindness, laughter, and gentle spirit.
Viewing will be held at Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road, Edison, NJ 08820 on Thursday, November 6th, from 4pm to 7pm. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 7th at 9:30AM. Church mass and entombment to follow. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor a life so well lived and deeply loved.
Ginnie will be remembered for her beautiful heart, her quick wit, and the joy she brought into every room. She had a gift for making everyone feel special — whether through her warm smile, her thoughtful words, or her unwavering love for her family. Her legacy lives on in the laughter of her family, the memories shared around family tables, and the love she so freely gave to all who knew her.
Though our hearts ache with her passing, we take comfort in knowing that Ginnie’s light will forever shine in the hearts of those she touched. She will be deeply missed, and lovingly remembered — always.
