“Legacy Tribute”
Vincent was born to Walter and Louise Allen and raised in the Republic of Panama. He was one of eight children in a joyful and close-knit family. Though we lived humbly, we were rich in love, laughter, and the strength of our faith, as our parents taught us the value of hard work, resilience, and praising the Lord in every season of life.
Our father, Walter, also known as Jack, ran a popcorn stand on the U.S. military base in the Panama Canal Zone, and Vincent, being the showman that he is, would dazzle the crowds as he would glide across the ballroom floor on roller skates with his accordion and sparkling outfits. Music was truly the language of his soul, and with remarkable dedication, he taught himself to play the piano and the accordion, a
talent that inspired all who knew him. Vincent’s passion for entertaining and uplifting others shone brightly, but behind the charm and showmanship was a disciplined man who never lost sight of the importance of education and self-improvement.
In 1949, Vincent fell in love with Juliet, the sister of his brother Joseph’s wife, Graciela. Their union marked the beginning of the cherished Allen/Osborne family. Shortly after, Vincent and Juliet journeyed to the United States in search of new opportunities. There, he embraced hard work with open arms, holding multiple jobs to build a better life for his family. He was a gifted tailor and a masterful chef
who took great joy in welcoming others with warm meals and even warmer conversations. In his presence, there was always good food, music, and plenty of laughter. He was truly the life of the party.
Vincent also had a sharp mind for business and an even greater heart for people. He ventured into real estate and was always generous in sharing his blessings. He was the true definition of a big brother: wise, dependable, and full of grace. Whether you needed advice, encouragement, or just someone to listen, Vincent was there with open ears and a generous heart. He was always more concerned about how others were doing than himself, and never hesitated to lend a helping hand.
Beyond his work and service, Vincent lived life to the fullest. He was an avid traveler, exploring the world with Juliet by his side, visiting places many only dreamed of. In the end, he remained a devoted husband, lovingly caring for his wife through every stage of her illness until the day she peacefully passed away. Vincent’s light will never dim in our hearts. His legacy of faith, family, and joy lives on in each of us. We celebrate a life well-lived and a man deeply loved.
Vincent leaves behind a lifetime of memories, lessons, and love.
