Victorina Azarcon, 92, died on January 7, 2022 in Franklin Park, NJ surrounded by love and family.
Victorina was born on March 6, 1929 in Caloocan City, Philippines to Lorenzo and Emerenciana Sia Mariano. She graduated from St. Theresa High School and the University of Santo Tomas in Manila. After graduation, she was a Biology and English teacher in Surigao Del Sur, where she met her husband, Clodualdo Azarcon.
Victorina immigrated to the United States with her family in 1969 and settled in Jersey City, NJ. She had a successful career as a microbiologist at Metropolitan Hospital in New York City and Astoria General Hospital in Queens, New York for over 40 years before her retirement.
She was a member of the Legion of Mary at St. Helena Church and continued to be an active parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church after retirement. She will be remembered for her dedication to her faith and family.
Victorina was predeceased by her husband of 38 years, Clodualdo Azarcon and sister Lourdes Guevara. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Maria Victoria
Cristobal, Maria Eileen Enriquez, Ramon Azarcon and Lorenzo Azarcon; 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren.
