Vanessa Allend

Vanessa Allend, age 45, entered eternal rest on December 31st 2023.  Beloved daughter, sister, cousin, and niece, Vanessa, was born on August 10th 1978 to Robert J Allend and Adele Allend (Belfiore) at JFK Hospital in Edison New Jersey.  Vanessa grew up in Colonia New Jersey graduating from John F. Kennedy High School in 1996 and attended Kean University majoring in Education.  She had a passion for child care and was a breath of fresh air in every room she entered.  After 21 years in Colonia Vanessa then spent 21 years at Willow Creek where the staff provided tremendous care for her and treated her like family, we cannot thank them enough.  Her remaining years were spent at Complete Care in Westfield where they too treated her like family. 

Vanessa was preceded in death by her dear father Robert who welcomed her into the kingdom of heaven alongside her grandparents and other family members.  Survived by mother Adele, brother Joseph, Godmother Aunt Tisha and Godmother through Confirmation Jeanine Maldonado, Aunt Gen, and many many loving cousins.  Her loving memory will live on through them..  

Visitation  Friday January 5, 2024 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the Gosselin Funeral Home 660 New Dover Road Edison. Funeral Mass 12:30pm Friday January 5, 2024 at St John Vianney Church.
