Thaddeus Kumor , at the age of 100, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born and resided in Elizabeth, NJ, before moving to Clark, NJ in 1952. Thaddeus proudly served our country as a bombardier navigator in the 451st Bomb Group, 15th Air Force during WW ll. He flew numerous combat missions over Northern Italy, Germany, Austria and Romania. He retired as a Lt. Col. in the United States Air Force Reserve.
Ted worked for Singer Manufacturing Co, Thomas Betts Inc., Curtis Wright Inc. and Kidde Fire Extinguisher Co. He was a member of the K of C, Clark Lions, American Legion Post # 328 of Clark and was an original member of St Agnes RC Church, Clark.
He was predeceased by his wife Julia Ostrowski Kumor, his son Christopher Kumor and his parents Frank and Louise Kumor.
Surviving are his daughter Dianne Slusark and her husband Walter, grand children Amy Dunphy (Michael), Douglas Slusark (Greer), Emily Tallman (Jason) and Elizabeth Tybus (Drew), great grandchildren Max, Zoe, Will, and Julia. Ted is also survived by his brother Leon Kumor.
Visitation on Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM, at the Gosselin Funeral Home 660 New Dover Road, Edison. Services will be held on Friday June 8, 2018 at 9:45AM at the funeral home followed by a 11:00AM Mass at St Agnes RC Church, Clark. Interment at St Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia
