Terese Re

Terese Re passed away peacefully on Friday June 18, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. 

Friends and relatives are invited to visit Gosselin Funeral Home for visitation on Monday June 21 from 5pm to 8pm at 660 New Dover Road, Edison. A short service will be held at Gosselin at 10 am Tuesday June 22, before proceeding to St. Gertrude's Cemetery.

Terese was born in 1944 to Louis and Blanche Turk in Newark, NJ. She attended Weequahic High School, graduating in 1962. 

From an early age, Terese had a zest for life, loved to dance and was a wonderful dancer. She was a lifelong Yankees baseball fan, loved dinners out and shopping trips with girlfriends, and trips to the city to see Broadway shows. She was a fantastic cook who delighted in sharing her creations with family and friends. Her passion was her beautiful grandchildren. Nothing made her happier than a day at Jenkinsons boardwalk, movie nights, or bowling with her sweet babies. She was often on the sidelines at their sports events, cheering them on.

Terese was a Certified Bookkeeper for over 35 years, most recently associated with O'Connor Davies in Cranford, NJ.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband Michelangelo. Surviving are her cherished daughters, Tina Browning and her husband Darren, and Julie Ibrahim and her husband Randy; her adored grandchildren, Michael, Benjamin, and Lucy; her sister Jacqueline Kesselhaut and cousin Ita Kislin, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, or to Center for Hope Hospice aka "Peggy's House" in Scotch Plains.
