Tang Eng, 88, of Colonia, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2024. Born in Kwangtung, China in 1935, he immigrated to the United States in 1949 before joining the US Army and Reserve in 1958 where he served for two years.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Nancy Eng, children Wendy Santoro (wife of Ralph Santoro) and Jeff Eng (husband of Aimee Eng) and sister Jeanette Hubscher (wife of Steve Hubscher). He was blessed with 3 grandchildren Rachel Dobiszewski (wife of Tyler Dobiszewski), Joseph Santoro and Samantha Eng, and 2 great grandchildren Layla and Camille Dobiszewski.
Tang will always be remembered for his love of Giants football, Yankees baseball, watching Fox News endlessly, traveling on many cruises and above all - his family. The last two years of his life spent watching his great grandchild Layla grow brought him immeasurable joy and happiness.
His memory will forever live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.
Services will be held Friday, January 5 from 4-7pm and Saturday, January 6 from 9:30-10:30am at Gosselin Funeral Home (660 New Dover Road, Edison, New Jersey) followed by a private ceremony at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens (US Highway 1 North, Woodbridge, New Jersey).
