Mrs. Sharon Sinnott Zalink, 63 of Colonia, New Jersey, entered the arms of the Lord surrounded by the love of her cherished family on Tuesday, August 13th, 2024.
Sharon, daughter of the late Valerie Chmilowski and late John Sinnott, was born in Elizabeth, NJ, on January 21st, 1961. She grew up in Linden, NJ and graduated from Linden High School in 1978. She then resided in Colonia, NJ where she built a beautiful home with her husband, David, and three sons, David, Daniel, and Dylan.
Sharon went on to work for Prudential Financial where she held the title of Executive Assistant, to Senior Management. Her bosses and colleagues would always say that they would never be able to do their jobs without her.
She was a devoted wife, mother, aunt, and friend. Sharon always knew she would be a boy mom because she was never fond of bows and headbands! She was a cat lover, who was surrounded by 5 cats over the years, Rocky, Tiger, Smokey, Sadie, and Ollie. Sharon was always dedicated to everything she did and always gave her best. She was there for her boys in every aspect of life, from sporting events to many bumps and bruises along the way. She was PTO President at Oak Ridge Heights Elementary School for over 10 years, which is something she was proud to be a part of. Sharon truly enjoyed entertaining with friends and family and of course making her signature baked ziti and double chocolate cake that no one can top! Her favorite time was when she sat on the couch comfy and cozy with her coffee/tea, and her cat on her lap. She loved to be at home with her family watching anything from movies to sports, listening to her sons play music, and turning on her favorite music, Elvis, while cleaning the house. Sharon looked forward to vacationing any chance she got at her two favorite places, Wildwood Crest and Cape May, NJ. Sharon had many friends who were a huge part of her life. She especially loved dancing with her best friend Karen when she was younger. In recent years, she looked forward to her and her close friend’s monthly dinner club.
Ever since she was young, Sharon was always dressed perfectly, made sure to have her nails manicured, and had an extensive purse and shoe collection to compliment her style! Sharon took pride in having such a clean and inviting home; she always enjoyed decorating the house for every holiday and getting everyone in the festive mood. From the pumpkin scented candles, to the warmth and love you felt, was indescribable.
Sharon is survived by her beloved husband, David Zalink of 37 years and her 3 sons, David, Daniel and wife Jessica, and Dylan. Her sister Eileen Clemente and husband Tony. Her two nieces- Keli Walsh and her late husband Jeff and Kari Matthews and her husband Ryan and her two nephews: Jack Sinnott and Kevin Clemente. 3 Great niece and nephews: Michael Walsh, Emily and Kenny Matthews. In addition, Sharon is survived by father-in-law, her two sister-in-laws and their husbands, six nieces and nephews and their spouses, and five great nieces and nephews, on her husband’s side.
