Scott R DePalma

It is with the heaviest of hearts to say we lost Scott Robert DePalma, on October 3rd 2024 at the Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, after a very sudden illness. 

Born in Syracuse NY, Scott moved to New Jersey in 1996 but never stopped rooting for the Syracuse Orange. Scott was a talented software engineer who loved to curl, barbecue, cook food for others, listen to music, lose at fantasy football, and most of all, watch his son perform.  

Scott was a remarkable person whose warmth and kindness touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. As a devoted father to his beloved son, he exemplified what it meant to love unconditionally. 

Scott was married to and divorced amicably from Ilyssa Wesche and enjoyed his last few years with his girlfriend Kate Trela, who he met through their shared love of curling. 

Surviving Scott is his son Connor, bothers Rob and Jamie, and parents Bob and Cheri DePalma. Please join us for a memorial service at Gosselin Funeral Home in Edison, NJ on Wednesday October 9th 2024 from 4-8pm.
