Several years after Ambrose passed away, she began dating James F. Goodness, a widower, and they married in August 1990 in Brooklyn. Roseanne and Jim moved to Edison in 1993, where they were active for many years in the Edison Seniors’ organization.

In 2015, because of failing health, Roseanne became a resident of the NJ Veterans Memorial Home at Menlo Park. Jim had preceded her as a resident of the Veterans Home some two years prior. He passed away in 2018.
