Rose N. Wall, 93, of Colonia, N.J. passed away on February 7, 2025 quietly at her residence. She is survived by her loving children Theodore (Colleen), Karen, & Angela. She was “Nana” to eight grandchildren; Trevor, Ryan, Jessica, Danielle, Candace, Rebecca, Joseph, & David. She also had fourteen great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her beloved parents, brother Joseph Barbutti, and son-in-law Thomas Creeden.
Rose was born May 3,1931 in Brooklyn, N.Y. She was raised in Union City, N.J. the daughter of the late John and Joanne Barbutti. Rose met her husband Theodore Wall and they were married in September 1953. Moving to Colonia N.J. she raised her three children. In the early years she was a seamstress, then was employed at “All-State Legal Supply” as a receptionist. She also worked a part-time job as a bridal consultant at “Lisa’s Bridal” until her retirement in 1996.
Rose enjoyed traveling home and abroad, especially to Italy visiting her family of cousins who live in the Parma area. She was active with the Colonia Seniors as well as the Evergreen Center playing bridge, line-dancing, trips and other activities. She socialized and traveled with good friends, and enjoyed being home sewing, crocheting, and cooking, all while hosting, visiting, and supporting her growing family. She loved having holiday gatherings and even for every day her meals were the best. She enjoyed her grandchildren, attending their many special events and activities.
Rose was a woman of faith, a believer in God and Jesus Christ and attended St. John Vianney and later St. Cecelia’s Church. In her last years, Rose made new friends in her residence and always had a cheerful smile and encouraging words for them. She lived life to the fullest and gave of her time and talents to many throughout her life.
A visitation will be held on Monday, February 17 from 2:00-3:00 pm followed by a Memorial Service at 3:00pm. Visitation and Memorial service will be conducted at: Gosselin Funeral Home 660 New Dover Rd. Edison, NJ 08820 www.gosselinfuneralhome.com
