Rose Marie Pagan passed away on October 3, 2021, after a struggle with cancer.
Rose was born on January 2, 1962, in Manhattan. Rose married her high school sweetheart, Emmanuel Pagan on April 7, 1984, and they were married for 37 years, raising their son, Matthew and their daughter Moriah. She is also survived by her mother.
Rose attended St. Joseph’s High school, followed by attending the Bayonne school of nursing, where she received first her Licensed Practical Nurse degree, and then completed her course to become a Registered Nurse. In 2016 Rose attended Kean college from which she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 2018.
Rose Pagan‘s life was defined by her love and care of others, family, friends, colleagues and patients alike. She was selfless, always putting others first. Rose was intelligent , thoughtful, generous, and completely devoted to her family. Rose had great courage, which was so evident in her work during the pandemic. She was a religious woman who, according to her husband, had trustworthiness that was impeccable. As a mother, Rose truly believed in the importance of learning and education, as well as her modeling a commitment to community. Her completion of college later in life stands as an enduring model of tenacity and her belief in the value of education. Rose’s love of others has sculpted a permanent place in the hearts of all who loved her.
Visitation Friday October 8, 2021 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at the Gosselin Funeral Home 660 New Dover Road, Edison. Funeral Services Saturday October 9, 2021 7:45am at the funeral home followed by a 9:00am mass at St John Vianney Church Colonia. Interment St Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia
