Rosa Torretta

Rosa Torretta, 66, of Linden New Jersey, passed away on March 14th, 2023, surrounded by her family and close friends. 

Rosa was a loyal catholic, a perfect wife, and loving mother. Despite her enthusiasm for life, she was taken too soon. She now watches over her husband, Vincenzo; and her children: Martina, Calogero, and Salvatore. Her ability to make everyone around her feel comfortable and loved will be missed by the many lives she touched. Rosa was born on February 24, 1957 in Marineo, Sicily, Italy. Her parents were Salvatore D’amato and Cira Puccio. She was the oldest sister to two brothers: Andrea and Armando. A devout child of God, she attended the local church at Saint Anthony of Padua in Elizabeth, and Saint John the Apostle, in Clark NJ. Rosa came to the United States in 1986, then was happily married on April, 9, 1988. Rosa was a member of the Mary Help of Christians Society. She will be remembered by the twinkles in her eyes and her perpetual smile. 

Visitation will take place on Friday March 17th from 4-8PM at 660 New Dover Road Edison, NJ. Funeral service will take place on Saturday March 18th at 8:30AM at the Gosselin Funeral Home. Funeral mass will take place at 10AM at St. John the Apostle at 1805 Penbrook Terrace Linden, NJ. Entombment to follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery.
