Ronald G. Davie passed away peacefully on the evening of Saturday, October 18, 2025, following a brief illness. Originally from Kearny, NJ, Ronald lived for many years in Colonia, NJ, with the love of his life—his wife, Diane—and their two children.
Ronald dedicated the majority of his career to the transportation and supply chain industry as a regional sales manager, serving in leadership positions for the International Commerce Club, as well as the National Export Traffic League, Raritan Traffic Club, and World Trade Association of New Jersey.
A proud U.S. Navy veteran, Ronald spent much of his retirement volunteering with American Legion T. Nulty Post 471 in Iselin, NJ. He completed two terms as the Post’s Commander and established the first local Blue Star Family Support Group, which provided families of those serving in Iraq and Afghanistan an opportunity to meet monthly to discuss mutual needs and concerns. This passion eventually led him to the Sansone-Woodbridge Military Assistance Center, where he assisted current and returning Woodbridge area veterans, National Guard members, reservists, and spouses with information and guidance.
For all his accomplishments in service to others, however, Ronald’s proudest legacy was the family he created and the friendships he built. Nothing brought him greater fulfillment than the love and laughter he shared with those closest to him—so much so that when he was asked how he was doing, he’d often respond, “Just ducky, having the time of my life!”
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, William and Sarah, and his wife, Diane. He is survived by his cherished children, Scott and Kristin; his daughter-in-law, Dania; his son-in-law, Anthony; beloved brothers, William and Kenneth; as well as his four grandchildren, and extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 2–4 p.m. and 6–8 p.m. at Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road, Edison, NJ 08820. A funeral liturgy will be held on Friday, October 24, at 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Metuchen (270 Woodbridge Ave.), followed by the burial at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery (53 Inman Avenue).
