In Loving Memory of Rolando Juen (1946–2024)
Rolando “Lando” Juen, 78, of Colonia, NJ, peacefully passed away at home on December 9, 2024. Born on July 21, 1946, in Bacolod City, Philippines, he was the son of the late Gertrudes Garcia Juen and Romeo Juen.
A devoted husband, father, and lolo (grandfather), Rolando is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 49 years, Priscilla “Chuckie” Juen; his daughters, Michele O’Neill and Stephanie Murphy; and his cherished grandchildren, John Maitiú, Colm, Tadhg, Donovan, and Iona. He is also remembered by his sister, Judy Juen Albero, and his brother, Antonio Juen. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Charito Juen Galeno and Rosita Juen Agena. In his final days, Rolando often spoke of reuniting with his Nanay and Tatay, and we take comfort in knowing they embraced him in heaven.
Known for his infectious sense of humor, generosity, and warm spirit, Rolando had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome. He left a lasting impression on all who met him. After more than 30 years with Cooper Alloy Vanton Pump, Rolando retired to enjoy travel, spend time with his grandchildren, deepen his faith, and actively serve as President of the non-profit San Carlos City Negros Occidental Organization (SCCNOO). He also cherished meeting friends at his local Dunkin’ Donuts and visits to Atlantic City. His kindness, laughter, and friendship touched the hearts of many, and he will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Visitation will take place on December 16 from 5 PM to 7 PM at Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road, Edison, NJ 08820. A funeral Mass will be held at Saint John Vianney Church, 420 Inman Avenue, Colonia, NJ, 07067, on December 17 at 12 PM.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers who supported Rolando during his journey, as well as to his extended family and friends for their unwavering love and support.
Think of Lando
But laugh don’t cry
We know he’d want it that way
A friend of a friend
A friend till the end
