Robert Tanskey (Bob), beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2025. Born on September 18, 1941, proudly from Hoboken, New Jersey, Bob lived a life of love, happiness, and unwavering care for those he held close.
Bob’s journey continues through the love of his family. Though predeceased by his cherished wife, Kathleen Tanskey, he leaves behind his two sons, Robert (Kelly) and Andrew (Heather), who were the pride of his life. His legacy shines brightly in his grandchildren: Matthew, Kaitlyn, Kristen, and Connor, whom he adored and took great joy in watching blossom into their own unique selves. Bob is preceded in death by his sisters Lillian (Cookie), Louise, Frances, and brother, Richard.
Bob, affectionately called Uncle Tiny, was the proud owner and founder of Key Seafood Imports out of Perth Amboy. He took great pleasure in his work, home projects, swimming, and traveling with his beloved wife to Aruba. With laughter, genuine spirit, and keen intelligence, he touched the hearts of all around him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Forever remembered and dearly missed, Bob now rests in eternal peace.
