Robert “Bob” Bryan died on August 11, 2023. He was a patient at Care One Highlands
Nursing Home in Edison NJ. He was 70 years old and a resident of Linden, NJ.
Bob worked as a gas specialist for Public Service Electric and Gas. He enjoyed his
career there where he was well esteemed by coworkers and highly valued by
customers. He received commendations by the company for his dedication and quality
of work.
Bob was known for his sense of humor. His extensive knowledge of geography, history
and foreign cultures made him an engaging speaker. He was a kind and generous
individual who supported the endeavors of those he loved in his life - his wife, his
siblings, nieces and nephews. He was devoted and dependable and available in
emergencies. He was an avid reader, a talented guitarist, a good writer.
He is survived by his wife, Beatriz Martinez Cortez Bryan, siblings: John Bryan III,
Suzanne Bryan O’Keeffe, Roberta Bryan Berg, Beth Colley Brooks, Amy Colley
Halliburton. His brother, Arthur Lawrence Colley, predeceased him in January of this
year. He is survived by nine nieces and nephews: Tina Harty, Sandy Harty, Clare
O’Keeffe, John Bryan IV, Emily Bryan, Luca Cobucci, Sophie Halliburton, Lawrence
Colley and Clayton Colley.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, September 14 at 11:00, at Crescent Avenue
Presbyterian Church, 716 Watchung Avenue, Plainfield, NJ.
