Richard S Skoczynski

Richard Skoczynski, at age 74, gained his wings to heaven at 6:00am Monday January the 18th 2021. He was born on February the 21st 1946 to Stanley and Regina Skoczynski in Newark New Jersey and raised in Irvington New Jersey with his two siblings.

Throughout this life he accomplished a great deal, being in the Air Force during the Vietnam War, achieving his Bachelor’s Degree in History at Rutgers University, working for the Newark County Court, and mostly importantly to him being a loving and devoted father and husband. After the passing of his wife Judith Mayo, he prioritized all his time to his two daughters and helping the others around him. He gave his heart out to people in need and would always try to do everything in his power to find the best solution for them. Richard was given the name “the family doctor” by his family and people who knew him because of how much knowledge he obtained from helping his wife with her medical needs before her passing and continuing to educate himself after to help the others in his life he loved dearly to guide them when feeling lost.

One of the hobbies Richard enjoyed the most was cars. He owned so many cars it was impossible for him to go back and remember them all! He also had a great interest in sports playing baseball as a kid and playing tennis with his wife and kids. In his time of relaxation Richard had a great interest in crime shows and passed on the love for them to his two daughters.

Richard Skoczynski is survived by his two daughters, Alexis and Marta Skoczynski, his siblings Rudy Skoczynski and Delores Pinho, and other family.

Richard will be deeply missed by his daughters, siblings, and whoever was fortunate to meet him.
