Raymond Saluccio passed peacefully in his sleep at home on July 25,
2024, he was 60 years old.
Ray was born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ. He graduated from Union Catholic High School and lived his adult life in Colonia, NJ.
He was predeceased by his father Anthony Saluccio. He is survived by his Mother Jennie Saluccio, Sister Cathy Penik and her husband Vince Penik, brother Anthony Saluccio Jr. and his wife Kathy Saluccio. Along with his three nephews, niece, great niece, extended family and many close friends.
Raymond was not only a businessman but an inventor and entrepreneur with many patents and business ventures. He was always on the move and thinking of the next big thing. Ray was the owner and operator of Astro Sweep, Inc, a successful street sweeping business which he started just over 40 years ago.
Ray was truly the life of every party and brought a lot of love and laughter to everyone he met during his lifetime. His family and friends can attest to this with countless memories and stories. Ray had a personality larger than life and he was the type of guy that would give the shirt off his back to help someone. He would do anything to see his friends and family happy, all of whom he loved immensely.
And, in his words, he would want us all to remember, “there is no light without dark, no joy without pain. Good times don’t last forever, neither do the bad times.”
