Patricia Petracca, age 71, of Rahway, New Jersey, passed away on July 26, 2026 in JFK University Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey.
Pat was born in Irvington, New Jersey to James and Marion Wilson (Hiltwein) on February 19, 1955. She went to Hillside and Colonia High Schools and graduated from Colonia in 1973. She worked as a paraprofessional for the Rahway School District for many years, through which she earned an Associate’s Degree. Previously, she held other jobs including working for JB Williams and as a U.S. Postal Worker. Pat loved coming up with creative ideas to use in her classroom, “saleing” with her friends (garage sales), gardening, baking, and cooking. She grew zucchini, beans, tomatoes, and many other vegetables in her garden every year and loved to make up new recipes with them. Pat was a great cook! She was always willing to try something new and her meatballs were one of her biggest successes.
Pat is survived by her husband, Joseph Petracca and her children, Angela and James of Rahway, as well as her sisters Carole Maimoni (Robert) of Ortley, Joyce Wilson of Rahway, and Janice Wilson (Mark Sojak) of Colonia. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Marion Wilson, her beloved aunt Cathy, and her niece, Jaclyn Maimoni, as well as her other aunts and uncles.
Funeral service will be private, followed by cremation.
