Noel John Meyer

Noel J Meyer of Colonia passed away peacefully on December 28th 2023 with his loving wife by his side.
Noel served in the US Navy from 1960-1964 where he was stationed in Norfolk VA.
After leaving the Navy, he worked for United Parcel Service as a truck driver for 34 years before retiring.
He had been honored for the millions of miles he had driven for them.
Noel enjoyed classical music, playing harmonica, riding his bicycle, long walks, looking at the clouds…
and is known around town as “the old guy on his motorcycle”.
He spent his retirement years doing volunteer work. Noel volunteered at the VA hospital, Trinity soup
kitchen, and friends of the library to name a few.
Noel is survived by his wife of 61 years, Virginia Meyer (nee-Ferlauto), his daughters Donna Best and
Debbie McCormick ,son in law Scott Best, grandchildren Zoey, Milo, Owen, and Kyan and many family
and friends. He is predeceased by his son David and brothers Gerald and Alvin.
Noel was a dedicated member of The Woodbridge Big Book Group for the last 31 years.
