Jay Gervis passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025 at the age of 76, to be remembered lovingly by the family that he cherished. He was born in New Brunswick N.J. to Abraham and Edna Gervis and spent most of his childhood in Highland Park. At the time of his death, he was living in Edison with his dear wife, Joan (Sethman) Gervis. Jay was a sports fan who enjoyed rooting for the New York Yankees and Giants. He enjoyed many happy times with his in-laws, Bill and Sharon Pelszynski. He also loved spending holidays with his sisters and their families. Jay leaves, in loving memory, his wife, Joan; his three sisters, Helene Glazer, Sandy Weiner and Brenda Leon and their spouses, Warren, Stu and Jay; along with Joan’s sister Sharon and her husband, Bill; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Graveside ceremony Sunday 10am at Mount Lebanon Cemetery in Woodbridge, NJ. Donations may be made to hospice program @ JFK Hospital.
