Mildred R Lacovara

Mildred Jurksza Lacovara, Edison, NJ, passed away peacefully on October 28 at Complete Care at Whispering Woods assisted living at the age of 96 years young.

Millie, as her family and friends affectionately called her, enjoyed BINGO, traveling to Disney Parks and faraway lands, going to Broadway shows and dining out.  She loved life and lived it to the fullest.  She never met a cookie she didn’t like.

Millie is survived by her two adoring daughters, Marie and Carol, and her favorite nephew Walt and his wife Trish, along with their four daughters and their families, and dearest friend Marie “Carmina” and honorary daughter, Debbie. 

Millie is predeceased by her beloved husband, Ed, her infant daughter Annie, her sister, Audrey and her parents, Herman and Rose Siems.

Visitation will be held at Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road, Edison, NJ on Wednesday, October 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Blessing by Father Anthony Sirianni will follow with Entombment at Good Shepherd Chapel Mausoleum at St. Gertrude Cemetery, 53 Inman Avenue, Colonia, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, Marie and Carol suggest you donate to the charity of your choice, or do an act of kindness, but most importantly, vote!

The family is eternally grateful for the love, care and kindness shown by staff at Whispering Woods.
