Mighty "Cuong" Phan

It is with great sadness we share the news that Mighty (Cuong) Phan, loving husband, and father, had passed away on August 30th, 2021, after years of battling with cancer. He was 64 years young.

Mighty was born in Saigon, Vietnam and emigrated to the United States in 1975. He lived in New Jersey for most of his life. After graduating from college with a computer science degree, he worked with information technology in different companies including L’Oréal and Bed Bath Beyond. It is in the computer field that he would remain for the rest of his career.

Having been raised in a large family, Mighty enjoys spending time with his family and friends. Always the first to arrive at family celebration gatherings, he quietly sits aside then participates in the light-hearted discussion, nonsense disagreement, and boisterous laughter. He cares deeply for his siblings and is protective of his family.

Mighty is preceded in death by his parents, Dien Ngoc Phan and Ngo Thi Dinh. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Nam Phan, his daughters Christina Tu-Nhi and Vivan Phan as well as his 13 brothers and sisters and their spouses and many nieces and nephews. He will be missed dearly and remembered for his perseverance and strength.

Visitation Friday September 3, 2021 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at the Gosselin Funeral Home 660 New Dover Road, Edison NJ. Funeral Services 8:45am Saturday September 4, 2021 at the funeral home followed by a 10:00am mass at Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church 120 Kosciusko Avenue South Plainfield NJ. Interment to follow at St Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
