Michele Lee Florczak, 58, of Colonia, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025, at her home in Colonia.
Born on July 9, 1967, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, Michele was the beloved daughter of Patricia and Kenneth Pope. She attended Colonia High School, graduating in 1986. Michele went on to work as a Certified Nursing Assistant at JFK Hospital for over 30 years, where she was known for her compassion and dedication to caring for others.
Michele’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister who poured her heart into raising her children. Michele was deeply involved in their lives, volunteering at their schools and attending every event, big or small. She had a vibrant spirit, a love for the arts and the outdoors, and a gift for making every gathering brighter. Michele was the life of the party, with a laugh and energy that made everyone around her feel welcomed and loved.
She is survived by her loving husband, John; her cherished children, Faith, Noah, Luke, Jonah, and Andrew; her father, Kenneth Pope; her sister, Celeste Pope; her father-in-law, Adolph Florczak; her brothers-in-law, Kenneth (Dara) and Paul Florczak; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Michele was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Pope, and her sister, Desiree Pope.
Visitation will take place at Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road, Edison, NJ, on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Gosselin Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
A funeral service will be held at Saint John Vianney Church, 420 Inman Avenue, Colonia, NJ, on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., with Father John officiating. Burial will follow at St. Gertrude’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, 53 Inman Avenue, Colonia, NJ.
