Matthew Larson

Matthew Larson of Parlin, NJ passed away on April 18th, 2026 at the age of 66.

Born on July 8th in Edison, NJ, Matt spent most of his working life for UPS, where his reliability and strong work ethic earned the respect of colleagues and friends alike. In his free time, he nurtured a deep passion for history and culture. He loved exploring new ideas, places, and stories from the past, often sharing what he learned with enthusiasm and turning everyday conversations into engaging journeys through time. Matt enjoyed driving to simple destinations, like the covered bridges still left in New Jersey, just for the journey.

No day truly began for him without that first cup of coffee. He had once woken up at 1am remembering he had forgotten to buy coffee and could not go back to sleep. He got up and drove to the nearest store to ensure it would be there for him in the morning.

Above all, Matt cherished his family. He was a devoted father to his daughters Sarah and Kelsey, whom he loved deeply and unconditionally. He was a loving partner to his girlfriend Kathleen, sharing laughter, support, and companionship. He also held close his wonderful brothers  always ready to lend a hand, offer kind words, or simply be present.

A loving brother, father, and partner, Matt enjoyed a life well lived—one full of vigor, compassion, and a had youthful spirit that never faded. He approached every day with kindness, generosity, and a playful heart that touched everyone around him.

The moments and talks we shared are gifts we carry in our hearts. His presence lives on with us, and his memory is a lasting blessing. We will miss him greatly—his warmth, his playful energy, his kindness, and the quiet strength he brought to every day.

Matt is survived by his two daughters, Kelsey and Sarah along with his brothers: Alfred, Raymond, Erick, Roger, Peter, and Jeffery.
