Mary Mayo

Mary Mayo passed away peacefully at home on March 13, 2022 with her children at her side.

She was born in Newark and resided in Hillside before moving to Colonia in 1975. Mary worked at L’Oréal Inc in Clark for over 15 years retiring in 1990.

Mary was a devoted member of the St John Vianney Altar Rosary Society, she was a volunteer for Rahway Hospital in the Gift Shop for many years and she was a member of the Colonia Senior Citizens. Mary enjoyed playing Bingo, Skip-bo and Phrase 10 but most of all spending time with her family. She loved being with her grandchildren and seeing her 2 great grandchildren.

Mary was predeceased by her husband John Mayo, her parents Domenico and Maria Denora, her 3 brothers Vito, Joseph and John Denora. Surviving are her children Nicholas Mayo and his wife Christine and Joann Giordano and her husband Michael, 4 grandchildren Lisa, Christine, Alexandra and Anthony also 2 great grandchildren Amelia and Colin.

Visitation Tuesday March 15, 2022 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Gosselin Funeral Home 660 New Dover Road Edison. Funeral Services Wednesday March 16, 2022 at 9:30am at the funeral home followed by a 10:45am Mass at St. John Vianney Church, Colonia. Entombment Hollywood Memorial Park Cemetery, Union.
