Marilyn A Rentko, aged 79 years, entered into eternal rest on July 27, 2021. Born on May 8, 1942, in Jersey City, NJ to Charles and Catherine Lynch (née Gallagher), she moved to Woodbridge and finally to Colonia, NJ, where she lived for over 46 years.
Marilyn enjoyed numerous careers over her working life, at Merrill Lynch in New York City, Western Electric in Kearny, NJ, St. Cecelia Parish in Iselin, NJ, and several medical offices. She also worked in event planning and project management for numerous organizations.
Marilyn was an active member of St. Cecelia Parish, lending her time and talent to many parish activities over the years, from bingo games and fundraisers to social events and vacation Bible schools. She enjoyed travel (and travelled extensively), as well as her active involvement in her grandchildren’s lives. She deeply cherished her family, and was a devoted friend who never refused a friend in need.
Marilyn is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, John, son Douglas, both of Colonia, NJ, daughter Kimberly Hogan and her husband Chris, two grandchildren, Kylie and Chloe Hogan, of Irvington, NY, sister Maureen Lynch MD and her husband Roger Stacey, of Cambridge, MA.
Visitation Sunday August 1, 2021 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm and 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Gosselin Funeral Home. Funeral Services Monday August 2, 2021 9:00 am at the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Mass at St. Cecelia Church, Iselin.
