Marie N Miragliotta

Marie Nancy (Fusco) Miragliotta, 96, a long time resident of Colonia, New Jersey passed away peacefully on May 29, 2022.

Marie was born in New York on March 25,1926 and resided in Staten Island before moving to Colonia.

She was a dedicated employee of Dry Dock Savings of New York and enjoyed her daily commute into NYC. Marie was a long time member of the Woodbridge Garden Club and helped to maintain the Garden for the Blind and Physically Handicapped. In addition, as part of the Garden Club, she volunteered at the VA Hospital in Edison assisting veterans in creating flower arrangements.  She was an active member of the Evergreen Senior Center where she enjoyed organizing events, going on trips  and participating in dancing. Marie and her husband Joe took great pleasure in teaching other seniors the art of line dancing.  She was an avid card player both at the Senior Center and with her family members and friends. However, her greatest joy was hosting annual New Years’ Day celebrations for her extended family.

Marie was a communicant at St. John Viianney Roman Catholic Church.

Marie was predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph, of 47 years.  She is survived by her brother Vito Benninato (Phyllis) of Staten Island and blessed with many loving nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and grand nephews.

Visitation for family and friends will be at Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road, Edison, NJ on Thursday, June 2, 2022 between the hours of 8:30-10:30, immediately followed by a funeral mass at St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church, 420 Inman Avenue, Colonia, NJ at 10:45. Interment will be at St. Gertrude Cemetery, 53 Inman Ave, Colonia.

Marie will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
