Maria Amelia Martins

Maria Amelia Martins, 89 of Hazlet, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2024. 

Devoted mother of Nelson Martins, Cilene Castro and her son in law Licinio Castro. Loving grandmother of Ethan, Gabriela and Juliana. Dear sister of Adelino and Americo. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Maria was predeceased by her husband Acacio, her brother Manuel and her sister Precious.

Maria was born in 1935 in Pinheiro, a quaint little town in Portugal. She married Acacio in 1963 and emigrated to the United States that same year. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her beloved family. She is forever in our hearts and will be dearly missed.
