Rosie the Riveter, 99+ years old
Mae Yori nee Bieksha/Beksi was one of 6 children born to Andrew and Jenny Bieksha, Lithuanian immigrants who raised their children in Linden, New Jersey.
She married Franklin Yori in 1941 and was his wife of 68 years raising her family in Linden.
Mae was part of America’s Greatest Generation who survived the Depression and was a Rosie the Riveter at Eastern Aircraft (General Motors-Linden). She riveted the wings of the Wildcats (WWII planes) and watched the completed planes pulled across Route 1 by the women employees where they were tested at Linden Airport.
In her later years, she enjoyed Sunday dinner at her daughter’s house with her grandchildren and their families, especially her great grandsons Nicolas and Christopher.
She is predeceased by her husband, Franklin Yori, and her siblings-Eve Bieksha Hudock, Victor Bieksha, Helen Bieksha Zlata, William Bieksha and Charles Bieksha.
She is survived by her daughters Brenda Velasco (Miguel) and Donna Wiegers (Richard), grandchildren Scott Velasco, Darren Velasco, Stephanie Wiegers Johnson and Richard Wiegers.
Her homemade apple pie, love and quiet presence will be missed by all including her many nieces and nephews-Bieksha, DeBella and Cavalla.

Visitation Monday December 21,2020 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at the Gosselin Funeral Home followed by a 2:00pm Blessing. Interment will be private.
