Madelyn M Reckfort

Madelyn M. Reckfort passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, on September 8, 2023. She was born in Perth Amboy and resided in before moving to Edison in 1959. Madelyn attended and graduated from St. Mary’s High School, Perth Amboy. She worked for Dupont before working for Macy’s retiring in 1999. She was a devoted and loving grandmother to five grandchildren.

Madelyn was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years Henry J. Reckfort; parents William and Marie Sullivan and her brother Herb Sullivan and her infant brother. Surviving are her children Michael Reckfort and his wife Stephanie, Kurt Reckfort, Susan Karlowitz and her husband David and Janice Voreas and her husband Chris; and 5 grandchildren Krysta, Brianna, Nicholas, Jenna and Olivia; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Tuesday September 12, 2023 from 9:00AM to 10:45AM at the Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road, Edison. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00AM at St Helena RC Church, Edison. Entombment to follow at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge.
