Louis P. Piccirillo, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.
Louis was born in Newark, NJ, raised in Union, and a long time resident of Colonia. He was a teacher in Hillside and later an administrator in Hawthorne until his retirement in 2005.
He enjoyed trips to Disney, Atlantic City, and Myrtle Beach and was an avid baseball fan, especially for the Somerset Patriots and NY Yankees. Louis was a dedicated family man and his grandgirls meant the world to him.
Louis is predeceased by his parents, Louis and Mary Piccirillo. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jean; his sons Louis and his wife, Elizabeth, and Brian and his wife, Crystal; his six granddaughters Christine, Sarah, Kathryn, Alisa, Olivia, and Tessa; his sister Lois and her husband, Mark, and his brother Alfred and his wife, Donna, and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 30, 2023 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Gosselin Funeral Home (660 New Dover Road, Edison, NJ 08820). The funeral will be on Monday, July 31, 2023 at 10am at St. John Vianney RC Church (420 Inman Avenue Colonia, NJ 07067). Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery & Mausoleum (225 Ridgedale Ave, East Hanover, NJ 07936).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
