Loretta Shields

Loretta Shields passed peacefully on October 28, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Summit NJ, her parents were Catherine and Joseph Walguarnery. She had two sisters Gloria and Rosemary and a brother Joseph all deceased. 

After marrying the love of her life Joseph, they resided in Iselin and raised their six children. She worked at JFK Medical Center until retirement.  Once retired they moved full time to their beautiful home on the water in LBI. 

She is predeceased by her son Kevin and her loving husband of 50 years, Joseph.  Surviving are her children Kathleen (Ted), Mary Jean (Don), Patricia (Charlie), Sharon (Angelo), and Patrick (Kristine) and her five loving grandchildren Megan, Shannon, Tyler, Juliana and Sofia.

Visitation will be at Gosselin Funeral Home Wednesday November 1, 2023 from 4PM to 8PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday November 2, 2023 at 10AM at St. Helena's Church, Edison.
