Linda A Alshowarbi

Our beloved mother & grandmother, Linda Alshowarbi, died on September 1, 2024 after a brief illness. She was 73. 

Linda is preceded in rest & eternal peace by her parents William & Margaret Daniels & her beloved son, Michael Buckland. 

Linda was the heart of our home and she will always be remembered for her strength, courage & laughter. She happily served people through Maschios Food Service based at Saint Joseph’s high school in Metuchen after a lifetime in the food service industry working alongside many wonderful friends such as Patty & Herb Ciecko. She dedicated 6 years as a Chef for The Brothers of the Sacred Heart nonprofit organization. 

In her spare time, Linda could be found tending to her plants, searching up creative new recipes to cook, playing scrabble and solitaire and watching her treasured soap operas. Lindas favorite color was blue and she shared a special love for the moon with her daughter Brenda, her spirit will be with us when we look to the blue sky in the day and the moon in the night. 

Linda is survived by her loving husband Randy Alshowarbi after sharing 35 years together. Besides her husband, Linda is also survived by her daughter Carol Garcia, son in law Lucio Garcia, daughter Brenda Alshowarbi, son Matthew Buckland, daughter in law Kelly Buckland and her loving grandchildren Angel Buckland, and Gabriela & Michael Garcia. Her memory lives on with and she is also survived by her sisters Margaret Daniels, Patti Testa, Jeanette Romanowsky and brother, William Daniels. May she forever remain in our hearts as she rests in God’s eternal peace. 

Memorial services will be held at Gosselin Funeral Home in Edison, NJ Thursday 4-8 pm and again on Friday from 8:30-9:30 am with mass to follow at Saint Helena’s Church in Edison at 10:00 am.
