Lillian Dolores Cordeiro, aged 93, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025. She grew up in Newark, New Jersey, where she met her husband, Alvin Cordeiro. They were married in 1960. Following their marriage, they moved to Iselin, New Jersey, where they made their house a home and lived together for the rest of their lives. Lillian was predeceased by her loving husband, Alvin Cordeiro, who passed away in October 2022.
Born in 1932, Lillian began her career as an administrative assistant in a large accounting firm before dedicating many years of her life working as a Payroll Accountant at Ohrbach's and Steinbach department stores.
She is lovingly survived by her son, Mark Cordeiro and his wife Suzanne; her daughter, Dawn Pavleszek and her husband John; four cherished grandchildren, Dylan Cordeiro, Tanner Cordeiro, Paige Pavleszek, and Sarah Baker; and a great-grandson, Greyson Cordeiro.
Lillian was known for her fashionable style and quick wit, bringing love and beauty into the lives of family and friends. She had a flair for decorating, recognized with a home decorating award from Better Homes & Gardens, and a special talent for creating beautiful flower arrangements that enhanced any room or event. She cherished her home and yard, devoting much time and care to creating a warm and welcoming space filled with beauty. She loved spending time with her family and celebrating holidays, often taking her grandchildren on fun outings that made each one feel special.
Funeral services will be held at Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Rd, Edison, NJ 08820. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, December 7th, from 2 to 6 pm, and on Monday, December 8th, from 10 to 11 am, followed by the funeral service.
Lillian will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her, leaving behind smiles, stories, and profound love.
