Laura A Sasjack

It is with great sadness that we announce Laura Sasjack (Zajak), age 70, of Iselin, NJ, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, December 6, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Jersey City to Stephen and Leona Zajak, Laura grew up in a warm and loving family that shaped the kindness and compassion she carried throughout her life. She was the beloved wife of Michael Sasjack, devoted mother to her son Michael and his wife Donna, and adoring grandmother to Michael and William, who were the light of her life. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time playing with her grandchildren, nurturing their curiosity, and surrounding them with unconditional love.

Laura is also survived by her sisters Carol, Joan and her husband Matt, Cathy and her husband Kevin, Robert and his wife Jacqueline, Toni Ann and her husband David, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Susan and brother-in-law Dennis.

Known for her warm spirit and tireless energy, Laura found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She loved gardening, tending to her flowers with the same care she offered everyone around her. She also took great pride in keeping a beautiful and welcoming home. Cleaning was never a chore to her but an act of love, a way of making sure her family always felt comfortable and cared for.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Gosselin Funeral Home in Edison on Wednesday, December 10, from 2:00–4:00 PM and 7:00–9:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Cecilia’s Church in Iselin on Thursday, December 11 at 10:15 AM, followed by entombment at St. Gertrude’s in Colonia.

Laura will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and the joy she brought to everyone fortunate enough to have known her. Her legacy lives on in the family she treasured and the countless memories she leaves behind.
