Laura Mendonca

On Thursday, December 3, 2020, Laura Mendonca, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 86.

Laura was born on September 28, 1934 in Alfarrobeira, Portugal. On October 26, 1952 she married Manuel Mendonca. They raised three children, Cidalia, Marie and Helio. In 1964, Laura and her children came to America to be reunited with Manuel. Laura worked as a seamstress for many years. She will always be remembered for her strength and selflessness. Laura always put her family first, her greatest joy was spending time and caring for her family.

Laura was predeceased in death by her parents Ricardo and Ana, and her two brothers and four sisters. She is survived by her husband, Manuel, her daughters Cidalia (Cindy) and her husband Manny, Marie and her husband Karl, her son Helio and his wife Nancy; her grandchildren Paul and his wife Ingrid, Danielle and her husband Peter, Karl and his wife Kelly, Laurie and her husband Christopher, Katie and her husband Dan and Matthew. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren who were very dear to her and close to her heart. Also, by her sister, Francisca.

Visitation Tuesday December 8, 2020 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at the Gosselin Funeral Home 660 New Dover Road Edison. Funeral Services Wednesday December 9, 2020 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a 10:45 am Mass at St John Vianney RC Church Colonia. Interment St Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
