Kevin Thomas Raymond Scoda of Edison, NJ, passed away on July 20, 2024, at the young age of 24. Born on February 16, 2000, he was the cherished son of Mark and Nancy Scoda.
Kevin graduated from the Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree. From there, he ascended to Vice President of the family business, Federal Metals and Alloys.
Kevin had a love for sports. He played baseball, basketball, lacrosse, and later, golf. When not on the field or court, you could find him rooting for his favorite teams: the New York Knicks, Yankees, Jets, or Devils. Golf was Kevin’s passion; he had an unwavering love for the game—navigating the fairways and greens with precision and finesse. Kevin was also an avid poker player; he would never miss a Friday night game with his grandfather and friends.
Known for his kind heart, quick wit, and everlasting smile, he left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. Kevin’s life was a vibrant tapestry of passion, kindness, and youthful exuberance.
Kevin is survived by his father, Mark Scoda (Carol Febles) of Edison; his mother, Nancy Scoda (Eugene Massaro) of Manahawkin; sister Elizabeth Scoda of Red Bank; maternal grandparents Thomas Dietz of Edison and JoAnne (Daniel) Seib of Palm Coast, Florida. He leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him very much.
